TALKBACK WITH ME AT A FILM FESTIVAL

BlkBearPoster2014

From the schedule of the Black Bear Film Festival, October 19, 2014:
Sunday 3:00-3:40

TWO FILMS OF A TRILOGY

See the first two films of a moving film-short trilogy. (The third, Upside Down, is currently in post-production.) All the characters live in the same small New York City apartment building. While their stories do not directly connect, the unifying themes are marginalization, loneliness, and unexpected human connection. Last Day tells the story of a young man who plans to kill himself, but he has an unexpected encounter which presents him with an opportunity for change and redemption. In Old Junk, an isolated but vital old man finds a new friend and a box of junk. A transformation of both old junk and an old life ensue. This screening includes talkback with director Shira Levin, actor Lew Gardner, and canine star (!) Boo Radley.
