The other day I performed in a training video. As my character related a story, I was portrayed in the flashback by a puppet.
The original idea had been to have puppets created to resemble the actors who would people the video. When that turned out to be really expensive, puppets were bought and actors cast who resembled the puppets.
So it wasn’t acting skill or good looks that got me the job, but the fact that I looked like someone grumpy and green-faced with a big red nose.
Well, as the man sweeping up after the elephants in the circus said . . . .
